RIP to Andrew Samuel "Andy" Griffith at the Age of 86

Andy Griffith has received the Presidential Medal of Freedom ( "the highest civilian award in the United States. It recognizes those individuals who have made "an especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of the United States, world peace, cultural or other significant public or private endeavors" - source wiki) .


Griffith is a great artists with the following profession in his career Actor, comedian, director, producer, singer (country, bluegrass & southern gospel), writer. With his notable works with his shows like The Andy Griffith Show and Matlock.

Her first wife is Barbara Bray Edwards of which they adopted Sam Griffith who have died due to alcoholism  with daughter Dixie. Barbara and Andy's marriage ddidn't last that long resulting to divorce, that soon he met Solica Cassuto (got divorced again )  and then Cindi Knight, and got married again.

Griffith's health is not as good as it is for Griffith's first serious health problem was when he was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome a paralysis from the knees down. Year 2000, he underwent quadruple heart-bypass surgery and then  underwent hip surgery on 2007.

This July 03, 2012, he was declared dead. RIP to this good guy and multi-talented man. We salute you.
